A wrong-way driver cops believe was drunk or high sparked a three-car collision on a Staten Island expressway early Sunday that killed his passenger, officials said.

The 46-year-old driver was headed north in a southbound lane of the West Shore Expressway in a Honda SUV when he slammed into a Toyota minivan and a Ford pickup truck near exit 8 just after 5 a.m., cops said.

His passenger was rushed to Richmond University Hospital but could not be saved. Cops were working to determine her identity.

Cops suspect the driver of being impaired by drugs or alcohol, sources said. Charges against him were pending.

The 63-year-old driver of the Toyota was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital North, where he was listed in stable condition, officials said.
