Moments after touching down at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington early Wednesday, President Donald Trump continued his post-summit victory lap by declaring that “there is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea.”
“Just landed – a long trip, but everybody can now feel much safer than the day I took office. There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea,” the president tweeted.
“Before taking office people were assuming that we were going to War with North Korea. President Obama said that North Korea was our biggest and most dangerous problem,” he wrote.
The president earlier fired off a volley of tweets in which he congratulated himself for meeting North Korean despot Kin Jong-un in Singapore, where the two leaders reached an agreement to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.
He also blasted the naysayers who condemned his decision to meet with the ruthless dictator, whom he said he trusts despite only being with him for five hours.
