One of three new Saturday Night Live cast members will not be working on the weekends at 30 Rock. Shane Gillis has been fired by ‘Saturday Night Live’ brass. The comedian was let go less than a week after his hiring. The termination was due to racist and homophobic comments he’s made on his podcast.

Sources told Variety that the comedy show’s producers were looking to counteract criticism against the show for its frequent sketches that have been critical of President Trump and members of his administration.
