SHOWDOWN: President Trump Puts House Democrats on Notice, “We’re Fighting All the Subpoenas” (VIDEO)

The President on Wednesday blasted the rabid Democrats and said his White House will be fighting all of the House subpoenas.

President Trump called himself the most transparent president in US history while speaking to reporters on the South Lawn of the White House.

“The subpoenas are ridiculous. I have been the most transparent president and administration in the history of our country by far,” Trump said, declaring, “We’re fighting all the subpoenas.”

The President said Mueller most likely went through his taxes and financial records already so the investigations launched by House Democrats are designed to take him down for the 2020 election.

House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler on Monday subpoenaed former White House counsel Don McGahn to publicly testify next month.

Nadler said that Don McGahn is a “critical witness to many of the alleged instances of obstruction of justice and other misconduct described in the Special Counsel’s report.”

On Tuesday it was reported the White House was planning on fighting the House subpoena of former White House counsel Don McGahn and other aides by asserting executive privilege over their testimony.

A showdown is looming because Nadler said Tuesday, “[T]he moment for the White House to assert some privilege to prevent this testimony from being heard has long since passed. I suspect that President Trump and his attorneys know this to be true as a matter of law — and that this evening’s reports, if accurate, represent one more act of obstruction by an Administration desperate to prevent the public from talking about the President’s behavior,” Nadler said. “The Committee’s subpoena stands. I look forward to Mr. McGahn’s testimony.”
