A reputed mobster linked to the Bonanno crime family survived an assassination attempt outside his Bronx home early Wednesday, police said.

Salvatore (Sally Daz) Zottola was walking out of a home on Tierney Place near Longstreet Ave. in Throggs Neck when someone opened fire at 6:40 a.m., hitting him in the chest and right hand. He also suffered a graze wound on his head, authorities said.

Zottola, 41, was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.

In 1999, he allowed Vincent (Vinny Gorgeous) Basciano’s mistress to stay in one of the Bronx homes he owns, not realizing that a mob investigator had just moved in across the street.

Basciano, the former head of the Bonannos, is serving life in federal prison for ordering the murder of Randolph (Randy) Pizzolo in 2004.
