Prince Philip has left Britain's top heart hospital in an ambulance and is back on a private ward today where he will spend the weekend recovering after a 'successful' cardiac procedure.
The Duke of Edinburgh, 99, is spending his 18th day away from the Queen as the furore surrounding their grandson Harry and his wife Meghan's interview with Oprah rumbles on.
An ambulance surrounded by City of London police was stood at a rear entrance of St Bartholomew's Hospital in this morning, before driving away with Philip inside.
He is now back at the private King Edward VII Hospital in Marylebone where he was being treated for an infection for 14 days last month before being moved to St Barth's on Monday.
His current condition is not known, but a move away from one of the UK's biggest critical care hospitals is likely to be a positive sign.
