Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter on Sunday to whine about the fact that her party is not impeaching President Donald Trump.
The lawmaker said that her party’s refusal to impeach is a “bigger national scandal” than the president’s behavior.
“At this point, the bigger national scandal isn’t the president’s lawbreaking behavior – it is the Democratic Party’s refusal to impeach him for it,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

Democrat presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren shared similar sentiments on Friday, writing that Congress “had a duty” to impeach following the Mueller report.
After the Mueller report, Congress had a duty to begin impeachment. By failing to act, Congress is complicit in Trump’s latest attempt to solicit foreign interference to aid him in US elections. Do your constitutional duty and impeach the president.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has declined to begin the impeachment process, which would obviously cause great political turmoil and deepen the divide between the two parties.
