A woman who was arrested after a nine-year-old boy was killed by a dog at a holiday park has been released under investigation.

Frankie Macritchie, nine, was found dead by police inside a static caravan following the dog attack at around 5am on a Saturday. 

He is believed to have been alone with the dog when the attack took place, while his parents and the other adults were in another caravan close by. 

Frankie is was also believed to have been staying with his grandmother at the site, Cornawall's Tencreek Holiday Park in Looe.

The 28-year-old woman, who has not been named but who police said was an associate of the boy's mother, was detained on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control and manslaughter.
