Borough President Eric Adams on Tuesday bemoaned the agency’s recent cuts to bus service, suggesting the decision was racist.

“About 75% of bus commuters are people of color,” Adams said at a rally organized by Transport Workers Union Local 100, whose members are poised to lose work as a result. “Today we’re sending a clear message to the MTA: Get your s--t together."

Come January, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority will slash service on the B46 select bus route, the busiest in Brooklyn.

The agency will deploy longer articulated buses on the route in an attempt to mitigate the impact, but will reduce the number of buses it runs every hour by as much as 40%.

“The B46 was the lifeline of my childhood," said Assemblywoman Latrice Walker (D-Brooklyn). “Our bus lines are under attack.”
