An upstate New York couple is doing their part to protect workers at a coronavirus testing center — by 3D printing 300 protective face masks, a report said.

The couple, Isaac Budmen and Stephanie Keefe of Onondaga County, printed out 50 of the face shields last Saturday and plan to produce 250 more using 16 3D printers by Friday, Syracuse.com reported.

The couple, who started a 3D printing company in 2017, said they began preparing to produce face gear when they heard last weekend a testing center would come to their county.

After perfecting the process, they contacted their county executive, who was thrilled by the project, according to the report.

A worker at the county executive’s office got in touch with the couple and asked how many of the face protectors they could provide.
