The Giants rookie quarterback kept it boring and respectful on “The Rich Eisen Show” on Tuesday after being booed at Yankee Stadium on Monday night.

“I think I certainly don’t pay a whole lot of attention to it, but like you said, I mean, I think you’re aware of it,” Jones said, in reference to all negative reaction he’s encountered since being drafted sixth overall in April.

“I’m focused on what we’re doing here and focused on trying to practice as well as I could these past six weeks and show some progress over these six weeks,” Jones added. “At the end of the day I’m grateful to be part of this franchise, get this opportunity and looking forward to keeping it going.”

Jones said while he is competitive, he also will not internalize it in any vindictive or vengeful way that would focus on disproving his doubters.

“I’d certainly say I’m a competitor and all those things, but I’m not sure I’m gonna internalize it or see it that way,” Jones said. “Over this period of time, you certainly have a lot of people bringing it up, and like I said, I just feel fortunate to be in this position, fortunate to be here as a member of the Giants. So like I said, I’m looking forward to that opportunity.”
