A Lakehurst, New Jersey man was arrested and accused of touching himself “inappropriately” at a popular recreational spot at Lake Horicon.
Richard Davis, 65, was taken into custody and charged with child endangerment on Friday after being questioned when the victim’s mother called police and gave them a description, the Asbury Park Press reported.
Scant details were available Monday evening, but according to police the mother of the victim, whose age was not divulged, called police after the incident and provided a description.
After questioning him, police arrested Davis and sent him to Ocean County Jail in Toms River, N.J., to wait for a court appearance.
"Families should be able to visit the lake and the park without fear of this type of behavior,” police told the Asbury Park Press in a statement.
