The “Home Alone” star — who once “made my family disappear” — was revealed as part of the ensemble lineup for the 10th season of Murphy’s “American Horror Story,” according to a two-part video Murphy posted to Instagram Wednesday.
Last year, Culkin reunited with “Party Monster” co-star Seth Green in the latter’s directorial debut, “Changeland,” which also featured Culkin’s girlfriend, Brenda Song. Culkin also guest starred in Song’s Hulu show “Dollface."
“I enjoy acting. I enjoy being on set,” Culkin, 39, told Esquire in an interview published earlier this month. “I don’t enjoy a lot of the other things that come around it. What’s a good analogy. ‘The Shawshank Redemption.’ The way he gets out of prison is to crawl through a tube of s--t, you know? It feels like to get to that kind of freedom, I’d have to crawl through a tube of s--t. And you know what? I’ve built a really nice prison for myself. It’s soft. It’s sweet. It smells nice. You know? It’s plush.”
Murphy’s black and white video, which was set to Orville Peck’s “Dead of Night,” took cues from opening credits, featuring each star’s name as ocean waves rolled in on an empty shoreline.
The 10th season, which will premiere this year but does not have a specific air date, mostly stars the usual suspects, “AHS” veterans like Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters.
