The upcoming indie film “Loqueesha” — about a struggling white man pretending to be a trash-talking black woman to get a job as a radio host — has set social media ablaze.

While the premise calls to mind the beloved Dustin Hoffman film “Tootsie” or the Tom Hanks early 1980s’ sitcom “Bosom Buddies” — where men cross-dressed to get a leg up in various pursuits — the filmmaker is likening it the 2004 Keenen Ivory Wayans-directed box office hit “White Chicks.”

Jeremy Saville, who wrote, directed and starred in “Loqueesha,” posted an undated photo of himself alongside Marlon Wayans to his 21,800-plus followers on Instagram with the caption: With @marlonwayans, @LoqueeshaMovie meet #WhiteChicks. Have a great weekend everybody! Thanks for all you do. Keep laughing and lovin’. ❤️✌️

Wayans, who is quite savvy with his social media clapbacks, doesn’t seem to be co-signing the comparison to his box-office hit, where he and his brother Shawn Wayans played two agents who disguise themselves as rich white socialites in The Hamptons.
