JUST IN=> FEINSTEIN: “I Have No Way of Knowing” If Ford Will Show Up to Hearing Thursday If Outside Counsel is Asking Questions

Ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) said on Tuesday afternoon that she has “no way of knowing” if Christine Ford will show up to Thursday’s hearing to testify against Brett Kavanaugh.

Feinstein’s statement was in response to the Senate Republicans hiring a female prosecutor experienced in sex crimes to question Christine Ford.

The female attorney has not yet been identified due to safety concerns.

Democrats are complaining about the latest move by Republicans to hire outside counsel–Democrat Senator Kamala Harris said it’s “passive aggressive.”

The format of the hearing is still up in the air and the latest letter from Ford’s attorney, Michael Bromwich cast doubt on his client’s commitment to appearing at the scheduled Thursday hearing.

Now this…

Feinstein, who created this firestorm by sitting on Christine Ford’s letter–which was then leaked to the media days before the Senate was set to vote to confirm Kavanaugh, is saying she has no way of knowing if Ford will even show up on Thursday.

FOX News reporter Peter Doocy with the scoop:

DOOCY: NEW: Sen. Feinstein, D-Ca, just told me “I have no way of knowing” if Dr. Ford is actually going to show up to Kavanaugh hearing Thursday – if outside counsel is asking the questions
