Fired FBI Director James Comey attacked President Donald Trump over the Quebec G7 summit, posting to Twitter a typical Comey-style passive/aggressive statement that did not mention Trump by name.

Trump posted a statement about his issues with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the G7 summit to Twitter on Saturday after he had left Quebec for Singapore.
“Based on Justin’s false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to our U.S. farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our U.S. Reps not to endorse the Communique as we look at Tariffs on automobiles flooding the U.S. Market!”
“PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our @G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that, “US Tariffs were kind of insulting” and he “will not be pushed around.” Very dishonest & weak. Our Tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy!”

Earlier in the week, Comey made an appearance at progressive Canadian group conference in which he trashed Trump ahead of the summit.
“Fired FBI Director James Comey trashed President Donald Trump in front of a Canadian audience days before Trump will be attending the G7 summit in Quebec, saying the world is less secure, the other G7 leaders could not trust Trump and that long-standing relations don’t matter to Trump because, “It’s all about him.”
Comey’s attack on Trump followed one by Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) that said, ““To our allies: bipartisan majorities of Americans remain pro-free trade, pro-globalization & supportive of alliances based on 70 years of shared values. Americans stand with you, even if our president doesn’t.”
Trump left the G7 summit early Saturday and is on his way to Singapore for a historic meeting with North Korea over nuclear weapons.
