An Iowa woman called in to report her car had been stolen at the same time she was leading police on a chase in that car Tuesday morning, cops said.

Rachel Thornburg, 20, told police during the call that her 1998 gray Buick Century had been swiped in the tiny eastern Iowa city of Low Moor, authorities said, while a deputy sheriff was chasing the car after an attempted traffic stop.

“When she took off running, and we got the call, we thought: ‘Oh sure,’” Clinton County Sheriff Rick Lincoln told the Daily News.

Thornburg, whose license was suspended, fled after police clocked her driving over the speed limit, flying through stop signs and leading officers into Scott County to the south, according to the police.

The chase ended when the Buick’s wheels were flattened by deflation devices planted by the Iowa State Patrol, officials said, and Thornburg was taken into custody.
