Demo City continues! This time anti-Trump protesters plan an action at Grand Central Terminal during the peak of Monday’s evening rush hour. Metro-North commuters be prepared for a more crowded than usual terminal. Side exits from Vanderbilt and Lexington avenues are the better bets starting at around 5 p.m.
NYC bragging rights are on the line tonight for the Knicks and Nets who both could use a boost. Excitement, crowds, and traffic will be up for their 6 p.m. game at Madison Square Garden Sunday. Seventh and Eighth avenues, and 34th St. will all be affected.
MSG also has St. John’s vs. Villanova 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Knicks and Grizzlies 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, and the Rangers and Red Wings 7 p.m. Friday.
The Nets have 7:30 p.m. games against Detroit Wednesday and the Bulls Friday at Barclays Center, which also hosts the Islanders and Canucks 1 p.m. Saurday. Take the subway or LIRR, because Atlantic and Flatbush avenues will be jammed, especially on the weeknights.
The West Side Highway near 34th St. will have additional traffic turbulence tonight and for both rush hours Monday as 350 boats from the New York Boat Show will exit the Javits Center after 7 p.m. Sunday and from 7 a.m. to midnight Monday.
