The trivia game-show app once drew millions of people each day to answer rapid-fire questions in pursuit of that sweet, sweet cash, but the app’s popularity had steadily declined after peaking about two years ago.

For a few spectacular months though, HQ was wildly popular. People stopped their days at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET to answer up to 12 trivia questions, presented by charismatic and corny host Scott Rogowsky.

HQ actually made money, for a bit, through brand partnerships, including well-known sponsors like Nike and Google.

But like many a tech fad, the app struggled to remain relevant in following years. HQ’s 25 remaining full-time employees will be laid off, according to CNN.
