A 19-year-old man’s feud with a cabbie led to his arrest in the slaying last November of a resident of the Sumner Houses housing project in Brooklyn, police said Saturday.

Smith’s girlfriend found him shot in his apartment at 896 Park Ave. in the Bedford-Stuyvesant project on Nov. 12. Smith was rushed to Woodhull Hospital, but could not be saved.

At the time, investigators believed that Smith was arguing with someone before he was shot twice in the head, said a police source.

Haynie’s address was listed as 1061 Myrtle Ave. in the Sumner Houses, several buildings away from Smith’s home.

Haynie was arrested early Thursday after he got into an altercation with a taxi driver who believed Haynie was trying to steal his belongings, said a police source.
