A hardworking Bronx roofer was fatally shot trying to flee a Queens barroom brawl, his distraught family said Wednesday night.

Vladimir Olivo, 42, was hoping for a night on the town to celebrate a buddy’s birthday when he went to Capelli’s Cafe & Lounge in Corona early Saturday, his mom and his sister told the Daily News.

But when a fight broke out inside the 108th St. club around closing time, the Bronx dad tried to get away from the violence and was shot in the chest on the street outside, they said.

“It was his friend’s birthday and they were celebrating,” said his mother, Mercedes Olivo. “He leaves a wife, two daughters, one son and a stepson.”

“This is terrible. He was a very good person. He was my only son. I just want to know who killed my only son,” she said.
