A pilot who was cleared of manslaughter after his plane crashed and killed 11 people at the Shoreham Air Show received legal aid while the victim's relatives were denied support. 

Andrew Hill, 54, was revealed to have received £170,000 of government funding as families of the deceased were forced to battle for aid for the inquest after initially being denied.  

Families of the victims from the West-Sussex disaster were granted legal aid after a two year battle with the Legal Aid Agency and many MPs begging Theresa May on their behalf.

Andrew Hill's Hawker Hunter jet exploded crashed on the A27 following a loop-the-loop attempt at the event on August 22 2015.
