Twitter owner Elon Musk said in a tweet Friday night that he would back Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis if he decides to run for president.
“My preference for the 2024 presidency is someone sensible and centrist,” he wrote in one of a series of tweets. “I had hoped that would the case for the Biden administration, but have been disappointed so far.”

Musk emphasized that he was a “significant supporter of the Obama-Biden presidency and (reluctantly) voted for Biden over Trump.”
He answered a simple “yes” when he was asked on Twitter if he would back DeSantis in the next presidential election.
