A grieving father with a history of DUIs who is accused of plowing his vehicle into an Oklahoma cross country team is facing an additional charge after a third high school athlete succumbed to his injuries from the crash.

Max Townsend was hit with another count of manslaughter following the death of Moore High School senior Kolby Crum on Saturday, KFOR reported. The 18-year-old was among seven members of the cross country team run down by a pick-up truck while out for a run near their school on Feb. 3.

Police said Townsend was going 79 mph in 25 mph zone when he cut across two lanes of traffic and jumped onto the sidewalk, striking mailboxes and damaging property before hitting the teen athletes. Student Rachel Freeman, 17, died on the scene while 16-year-old Yuridia Martinez died the following day.

Krum had been in a coma since the accident earlier this month and the school district confirmed his death over the weekend.

Others injured in the deadly incident include 16-year-old Shiloh Hutchinson, 17-year-old Joseph White, 16-year-old Aston Baza and 17-year-old Chance Marlett.
