An accused serial killer dubbed is being nicknamed the “Thai Ted Bundy” — after hundreds of human bones were found in his garden pond, stocked with hungry fish to gobble up the remains, according to reports.
Wealthy property heir Apichai Ongwisit, 40, was initially dubbed the ”metal casket killer” because his 22-year-old girlfriend suffocated to death in a metal container he made her sleep in, according to The Sun.
He was arrested at his home in Bangkok after the skeleton of lover Warinthorn “Kuk-kik” Chaiyachet, 22, was found wrapped in a plastic bag and buried on his property, the Bangkok Post said.
Thai police then got a tip-off that at least two more women may have been throw into his pond — and divers found 288 human bones in an initial search, the local paper said, with divers set to return.
Ongwisit was rumored to have filled the pond with alligator gars and other carnivorous fish to consume the corpses, although divers did not see any during the first search, the Bangkok Post said.
