A Denver-area attorney accused of threatening and blackmailing her estranged husband and his new girlfriend, the family’s au pair, has been charged with allegedly hiring a ranch hand to kill the other woman.
Jennifer Emmi, 43, was arrested in late January and charged with solicitation of first-degree murder, two counts of retaliating against a witness or victim and three counts of stalking, the Denver Post reported Monday.
In November, Emmi asked Timothy Lindsey, 28, to help kill her husband’s girlfriend, asking if he knew anyone who could “get rid of her,” according to the arrest affidavit.
Lindsey suggested he could do the job for between $50,000 and $100,000 and the two discussed whether it made sense to also kill Emmi’s husband, according to the affidavit.
The ranch hand then turned around and reported Emmi to both the police and her husband, the Post reported. Lindsey also talked to another ranch hand, a former military sniper named Seth McCallum.
