The message remains outside a south Texas church 18 months after it suffered through the deadliest mass shooting in state history.

The First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs unveiled a new sanctuary on Sunday, including a memorial room honoring the 26 victims from Nov. 5, 2017.

The facility also includes security cameras and features a “response team” made up of worshippers.

“I mean it’s a big beautiful building, it’s a new house of worship for God and there’s been a hell of a price paid, 26 deaths for it,” said Rod Green, the steward for the grounds.

The improvements were made possible through millions of dollars of donations from around the world. Additions include a church bell tower and an additional prayer space.
