The Seattle-based coffee giant revealed a plan to open or remodel 85 stores by 2024 in rural and urban communities across the United States, the Associated Press reported.

With the new construction comes new employment opportunities for local staff, construction crews and even artists.

The new outposts of the socially conscious coffeehouse chain will have community event spaces. The company has partnered with local United Way chapters to produce functional workshops, such as life stills training and youth mentorship programs.

Known as the “community store program,” the initiative launched in 2015 as a test program to help boost economic development in low-income neighborhoods.

Fox Business News reports that the program has created more than 300 local jobs to date and more than $59 million in indirect economic impact.
