The victims, who live together in a first-floor apartment on W. 19th St. at Neptune Ave. in Coney Island, were standing in front of the building about 10:10 p.m. when the shooter strode up to them and began blasting away, witnesses and police sources said.

One of the men, 38, was shot in the head and fell to the ground; the other, 27, was hit in the stomach and fled into the building hallway before collapsing, witnesses said.

“I thought it was fireworks. When I came down I saw two guys shot lying on the floor," said one witness, who wouldn’t give his name.

“The two of them were just hanging out, no arguments, no nothing,” said another neighbor, a woman who didn’t give her name. “Then there were ... four gunshots.”
