Attorney General Bill Barr Decides to Keep DAG Rod Rosenstein in DOJ ‘A Little Longer’

Attorney General Bill Barr decided to keep Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in the DOJ ‘a little longer.’

Rosenstein was supposed to step down from his position as Deputy Attorney General in mid-March, however, after discussing his planned departure with AG Bill Barr, it was decided he would stay on “a little longer,” although specifics were not given, reported NBC News.

Rosenstein and Mueller took over the Justice Department in May of 2017 after then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation and anything to do with Hillary Clinton.

Rod Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller as special counsel on May 17th, 2017 to investigate whether Donald Trump conspired with the Russians during the 2016 election, however the investigation is nothing but an unconstitutional witch hunt of Trump, his family and his associates.

Rosenstein wrote a ‘scope memo’ giving Mueller the authority to go on a never ending fishing expedition — the scope memo is still redacted and hidden from investigators because Rosenstein obstructed oversight.

Tom Fitton blasted Bill Barr, Rod Rosenstein and Robert Mueller in an appearance on Fox Business Tuesday night.

“It seems to me that Mueller is still running the Justice Department and the Attorney General has got to take back control of his Justice Department,” Fitton said. “Rod Rosenstein and Mueller have been working closely together on this abusive investigation targeting President Trump.”

Fitton added, “Rosenstein is responsible for obstruction of a Congressional investigations — covering up every which way he can…and it’s just remarkable to me that the Attorney General continues to have him in place in this position of power.”
