Hunter Chenoweth, 22, was booked Wednesday and charged with three counts of capital murder for the triple homicide in northeast Arkansas, just outside of Huntsville, according to police.

Police responded to the home around 5 p.m. Tuesday and found Tami Lynn Chenoweth, 51, James Stanley McGhee, 59, and Cheyene Chenoweth, 26, dead inside, according to the Texarkana Gazette. An infant who was supposed to be home was missing.

Arkansas State Police identified two vehicles that had been seen at the house earlier that day and tracked one of them down, but it was abandoned.

Troopers caught up to the other car, a van, around 10 p.m. and issued a traffic stop, at which point a passenger exited holding a rifle and “verbally provoking” the officers, according to the Gazette.

The missing infant was found in the van, unharmed, and has been turned over to the Department of Human Services.
