The family of a 7-year-old South Carolina girl says she was healthy until her last moment, barely a minute into tonsil surgery.

Paisley Elizabeth Grace Cogsdill died Friday during a tonsillectomy at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood, South Carolina, according to WHNS. A minute into the surgery, her heart stopped.

“Going into surgery, she had no fear," her grandmother, Mary Beth Truelock, told the station. “She was smiling and happy. Nothing was wrong. She had no fear.”

Doctors were unable to revive Paisley on the table, but her cause of death is still pending an autopsy.

“No one expects to lose a child at anytime,” the page reads. “During the wake of this awful time in their lives, I’m humbly asking for help in raising money for Paisley’s funeral expenses and for her parents to take as much time off of work as they need. This, in addition to prayers would help the family tremendously.”
