An unidentified man fell almost 50 feet to his death Saturday morning at Starved Rock State Park in Illinois.
The man, 30, was working with a film crew around 10 a.m. at Council Overhang when he slipped and fell 48 feet to the sandstone floor below, Rachel Torbert, a spokeswoman for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, told the Chicago Tribune.
Officials did not release the man’s name Saturday and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources did not immediately return a request for comment Sunday morning.
In June, a Michigan man attending a wedding at Starved Rock Lodge went into a restricted area, fell about 31 feet from a bluff and died.
