Layers and layers of fact checkers are what’s supposed to separate the elites in professional journalism from the lowly bloggers in their pajamas.
Northwestern’s Medill J-School takes their elitism so seriously that they are notorious for handing out failing grades for assignments that contain a single spelling error. It’s called the Medill F and Medill just earned one.
The error struck some students as ironic, given the school’s tradition, known as the “Medill F,” of giving a failing grade to an assignment with a factual error such as a misspelling.
…The photo [TWEET BELOW] showed a diploma that was received by a student who had graduated magna cum laude from the the Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications. The word “Integrated” was spelled “Itegrated.”
